London printed for Trayne, 1810. Royal 4o, III+171+index 9 p. With engraved title page and 28 full page copper engravings or lithographs (one of the first travell books with lithographic plates) showing sites, cities, maps, monuments. Mycenae, Nauplia, view from Nauplia, Troezen, Argolis are folding out plates of 46,5 X 30 cm. Clean copy with few light water stains on the title p., large margins and two engraved ex-libris on the white leaves. An old hand written by Philip H. Gell note states that this copy belonged to Evans family, the descendant of Rebecca Gell.. XIXth century 1/3 morocco binding with corners, one of them slightly used. Rare.
