Johannnes Argyropoulos (Constantinople c. 1410 - Rome 1486) was a greek lecturer and philosopher who contributed greatly to the revival of classical learning and was condidered the successor of Chrysoloras. Besides his own works he translated mainly Aristoteles and S. Basile in Latin. Rare edition unknown to Brunet, Papadopoulos 655, Legrand B, III 191, CRAN 16-7.
